signing technical letter reports

I have an LLC for my engineering practice and am signing a short letter report to the client that presents my work product (it is some computations). You've answered this question for me before on signing bids/contracts, in that case I understand it is very important to sign the bid/contract as:
"XYZ, LLC
"by 'my name', member"

Does the same advice apply to a letter presenting work results? (liability protection is the concern here too). It seems awkward, I'd rather sign the traditional way, which it seems I still see a lot even from larger firms:

"Sincerely,
My Name
XYZ LLC."

Can I do that? And is it important (legally) to include a title? or "member"?

Thanks for your advice!

Answer

The way you have it above looks okay.

You can probably leave off "member" or "President", unless you think that it would lend some credibility to your letter/signature (letting the client know that they are dealing with the decision maker at the company).

The main criteria is that any piece of paper that could be considered a contract, or modification of a contract, or an agreement, or bid or estimate....the document must be clear that it is your LLC making the promise, and not you personally.
