I want to change from a partnership to a sole proprietor LLC. How should this be expressed?

I assume you mean you want to change from a multi-member LLC to a single member LLC, correct?

If so, you're going to need to remove all other members but yourself.

That requires amending the operating agreement, obtaining written consent of the members to remove themselves, and possibly an amended filing of the articles of organization with your state.
