Multiple EINs

I already have a sole proprietorship(DBA) with an EIN. I want to start another company under the LLC structure and would like it to be separate from my existing business. Will I be able to get another EIN for the LLC?

Answer

Yes. EINs follow the entity, not the owner. If you were a member of 50 separate LLCs, each LLC would have its own EIN.
