An annual report will be required of a limited liability company in the year following that in which the certificate of organization is issued or effective. The Secretary of State will mail annual report forms to the registered agent. The annual registration fee is $50.

Any limited liability company that has filed articles of organization under laws other than the laws of North Dakota is a "foreign" LLC for the purposes of North Dakota law. "Foreign" refers to limited liability companies organized in jurisdictions out-of-state as well as out-of-country.
