Kentucky has among the lowest filings fees for Articles of Organization of any state--only $40. Annual Registration fees are $15 per year. Pay this fee to the Kentucky State Treasurer as indicated above. Kentucky LLC Name Requirements Your corporate name must end with the words, “limited company ” or “limited liability company” or an appropriate abbreviation such as LLC. Your corporate name must be distinguishable from any other corporate or LLC names on file at Kentucky's Secretary of State's office. Foreign LLCs Operating in Kentucky Kentucky law requires foreign Limited Liability Companies register for an Application for Certificate of Authority, with the KY Secretary of State. The filing fee is greater than for a domestic LLC--$90. Foreign LLCs operating in Kentucky must file for annual registration and are subject to the same fee schedule as domestic LLCs..
