Kentucky requires all limited liability companies to file annual
registration. Annual Registration fees are $15 per year. Pay this fee
to the Kentucky State Treasurer as indicated above.
Kentucky LLC Name Requirements
Your corporate name must end with the words, “limited company ” or
“limited liability company” or an appropriate abbreviation such as LLC.
Your corporate name must be distinguishable from any other corporate or
LLC names on file at Kentucky's Secretary of State's office.
Foreign LLCs Operating in Kentucky
Kentucky law requires foreign Limited Liability Companies register for an Application for Certificate of Authority, with the KY Secretary of State. The filing fee is greater than for a domestic LLC--$90.
Foreign LLCs operating in Kentucky must file for annual registration
and are subject to the same fee schedule as domestic LLCs..

Articles of Organization must be signed by the organizers of the LLC.
Registered Agent
The registered agent may be an individual resident in this state or a
domestic or foreign LLC authorized to transact business in Kentucky.
The registered agent must have a street address (and the mailing
address if different from the street address) of the registered office,
which cannot be a post office box. Rural routes are sufficient.
